Hyponotized By My T.V.

What if the government discorved a way to hyponotize everyone all at the same time by using the television? Can we please start freaking out now... luckily that isn't happening right now-- unless it already is and we just don't know about it. Anyways it seems that sales in tobacco have gone down recently, can anybody tell me why? The answer is due to the power of television and the suggestions it portrays. According to this article research shows that limiting tobacco portrayal in television has an effect on people. Compared to the 1970's, where tv characters were seen with tobacco, there have been a drop of tobacco sales in accordance to the amount of tobacco seen in tv. People are more likey to buy tobacco when they see a character in tv smoking or chewing one. The research says that this isn't the only cause as to why people were buying less tobacco but it certainly has a strong impact. Maybe in the future the government would limit what can be shown on tv. As a future I see this possible future as unlikely but it is still something to think about. What do you think about future technolgy in tv being able to hypnotize you?
