Tom Hanks who is an outstanding actor has in fact not been nominated for the two movies he was in this year. He is well regarded as an actor but he has no receive a single nomination. Back in the 1990s he was always at the Oscars, he was like a football player in highschool getting those invitations to the parties. It's debatable weather or not the Academy voters are no feeling Hank's recent work. Even though he was even mentioned in the article about nominating "heroes" for his role in "Captain Phillips" ( Oscars to celebrate movie heroes at this year's ceremony), it seems now that all that talk was for nothing. In another aritcle they mentioned how "Captain Phillips," was considered to be one of his best work. So is the Academy voters just tired of Hanks? What will that kind of attitude be in the future? Do they just get tired of actors and decide not to vote on them? Future filmmakers beware, choosing the right actor has never been more important. As a future filmmaker I'm getting kind of nervous. Are you?
